Logistics and Supply Chain Management
This course gives you an overview of how to manage and improve a global and international supply chain. You'll learn how to manage logistical operations. We'll also show you how the right technology and strategy can give you a competitive edge. We use case studies and company visits to enhance our teaching. There are industry-sponsored modules and lectures from industrial partners. You can apply to do a project-based dissertation, working with an external organisation. You could also spend the summer at another leading university overseas. Recent dissertation projects include working with a large logistics company to develop their fleet's carbon footprint and a report for an electrical company on the supply chain and market structure of their goods industry.
Minimum 2.1 in business or a related subject. English language requirements
All of our courses require an overall IELTS grade of 7.0 with a minimum of 6.0 in each component or equivalent.
Core modules: operations and supply chain management; green logistics and supply chain management; research methods; supply chain technology; logistics systems; supply chain accounting and finance; global supply chain leadership; supply networks management; dissertation. Optional modules- one of the following: international management; strategic management; international business strategy.
Individual assignments, group projects, end-of-semester examinations and a dissertation.
