Business Administration (Human Resource Management)
The course has a thematic approach, there are 2 themes, entrepreneurship and new venture creation, and leadership and management of change. There are several pathways available meaning that you can specialise in a particular area which will lead to a named award, depending on the modules you choose. The programme offers a fresh approach to the issues managers face. It is aimed at current or aspiring managers and builds on a strong ethos of helping managers to solve real problems. We keep class sizes low to give you the individual attention needed when studying such a prestigious qualification. Further, our partnership with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) will enable you to gain member status to the Institute and successful completion of the programme may help you achieve Chartered Manager status.
Candidates will be required to have a minimum UK 2nd Class Honours degree or recognised international equivalent qualification. International applicants will need a good command of English at the equivalent of an IELTS score of 6.5.
Modules include: Leadership and management theories; strategic financial management; strategic analysis; strategic marketing; strategic operations management; managing professional development; research methods; management project; leading and managing people; human resource management in context.
The vast majority of assessment is coursework-based. An assignment is typically contextualised in a real world organisation which has genuine business problems to solve.
