Strategic Procurement Management
Students develop a sound grasp of current and emerging theories associated with purchasing and supply chain management, with emphasis on relationships with other corporate functions and activities; during the course, learners expand knowledge of concepts and practices, which they can apply to the benefit of own organisation.
A minimum 2.2 Honours degree or equivalent qualification, or, in exceptional circumstances, 3 years� or more significant management experience; students who already hold the CIPS graduate diploma, or equivalent, are eligible for exemptions and entry to a 1 year fast track programme (weekends).
Modules include: Finance and law; management theories and philosophies; dissertation project; research methods; strategic operations management and operational research; sustainable supply chain management; purchasing principles and management; advanced procurement; corporate social responsibility and ethics.
The assessments are currently assignment based with no written exams. Assignment word count may vary but tends to be 2 3,000 word assignments per 20 credit module.
