The course focuses on refining your business skills with an emphasis on accounting and assurance. It has been designed to allow you to develop a strong understanding of how financial data underpins the decision-making process, and how outcomes are effectively communicated and evaluated. Holders of recognised professional accounting qualifications may be entitled to significant exemptions from modules.professional services firms.

Entry requirements

A minimum 2.2 Honours degree in accounting or business degree with strong accounting content. Holders of recognised professional accounting qualifications may be entitled to significant exemptions. Equivalent accredited international or professional qualifications may also be acceptable. Students wishing to take ACCA examinations alongside the MSc will also need to be ACCA registered students.

Course modules

Modules include: Contemporary issues in accounting; corporate governance; research methods; strategic management accounting; corporate financial reporting; audit, assurance and professional ethics; dissertation.
