Computing and Information Systems
This qualification is designed for people who have little or no previous experience of computing or information technology; However, learners may have some related experience or skills that they wish to build upon; emphasis is placed on the effective use, design and development of software for information systems; it is ideal training for those who plan to move into the computing and information systems field, or where computing plays an increasing part in a particular role.
This course is designed for graduates with a minimum 2.2 Honours degree or equivalent in a connected subject; it is not suitable for people who have a degree in computing; the course welcomes international applicants and requires an English level of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
Modules include: MSc project; information computer technology systems development; independent study; strategic information systems governance; project management and research methodology; principles of computing; software development; postgraduate project management and research methods.
Assessment is through coursework and some involve coursework and an examination; research project and major project.
