Building Information Modelling and Sustainability
The course is designed for graduates who wish to develop the knowledge and skills to pursue a career in the rapidly evolving area of building information modelling (BIM), used throughout the construction project and the property lifecycle; it is also ideal for those currently employed in the industry who wish to develop new skills and adapt their professional abilities in line with the government�s proposal.
An Honours degree at grade 2.2 or above in a relevant discipline such as architecture, building surveying, civil engineering, commercial management, construction management, project management (construction), or quantity surveying; equivalent accredited international qualifications are acceptable; international applicants must have English to IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
Modules include: Applied research methods; environmental management; project management and techniques; 3 dimensional building information modelling; beyond the 3 dimensions; sustainable by design and BIM applications (project); dissertation.
Assessment methods vary and include written projects and coursework, project work and presentations.
