The course deepens knowledge and understanding of endodontics, improve clinical skills in all aspects of endodontic diagnosis, treatment planning and clinical treatment; the course also facilitates the exposure of each GDP to other dental practitioners (GDPs, specialist practitioners hospital staff and consultants) and encourage an exchange of ideas and experience; it is also envisaged that the course would be part of a GDPs personal development plan.
1 of the following: Bachelor of dental surgery (equivalent international qualifications are acceptable); current registration with the GDC; currently working in primary dental care or in a junior hospital position.
Modules include: Endodontic diagnosis and treatment planning; endodontic access, canal shaping, cleaning and obturation; restoration of the endodontically treated tooth; clinical case studies; research methods (clinical endodontics).
