Play and Therapeutic Play
This course is relevant to a variety of settings and to practitioners from a range of backgrounds and is also useful to enhance personal potential for further postgraduate training for teaching and social work or other relevant professional training.
An Honours degree (2.1 or above) in a relevant field such as psychology, early years development, childhood studies, education, or a related health or social care discipline; a DBS check; the course welcomes international applicants and requires an English level of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
Modules include: Child development; play therapy skills; research methods; working with children and their families; educating and play; dissertation.
Assessment uses a variety of methods, including essays, diaries, research projects, presentations, portfolios of observations and clinical notes.
