Business Psychology

This course examines the psychological theories and models underpinning effective communication and leadership practice; students apply psychological theory and practice to key issues that affect the internal and external communications of organisations; they also focus on how change in organisations can be managed by enhancing psychological strategies for effective change management.

Entry requirements

Undergraduate degree; some form of working experience; exceptions can be made for applicants who have considerable working experience in business environments and/or professional qualifications from these environments; international students must have IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.

Course modules

Modules include: Psychological theory and applications in the workplace; effective communication within organisations; developing and managing external communication; leadership in 21st-century organisations; managing organisational culture and change; research methods and project management skills for use in organisations; dissertation.

Assessment methods

Assessments will take the form of organisational audits, essays, case studies, critical reviews, presentations and a final stage dissertation.
