Fine Art

This course encompasses the full diversity of contemporary art in a clear critical context: it facilitates work in painting; drawing; printmaking; sculpture; installation; photography; video; web and temporary site-specific or time-based work and performance art. Projects may involve either a specialist pursuit of a single medium or a broader, multi-disciplinary approach that draws on the skills and opportunities provided by the academic and technical staff and facilities.

Entry requirements

2nd Class Honours degree or equivalent qualification/experience; IELTS 6.0 or equivalent for international students; a practical and creative artistic ability, (demonstrated in a portfolio) is the determining factor for entry.

Course modules

Modules: fine art 1; research skills; fine art 2; final project. Optional: contemporary issues 4; contemporary issues; global marketing; digital marketing communications; digital cultures; DISPLAY: interpreting the language of design.
