Energy Resources and Climate Change

This course has been designed to equip the next generation of energy professionals with the multidisciplinary approach required to tackle climate change while improving energy supply and the built environment.

Entry requirements

2.1 or higher Honours degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or Chemistry. Graduates with degrees in Geography, Biological or Environmental Sciences may qualify, providing that they have a good A-level or equivalent in mathematics and physics and that their degree incorporates a significant mathematical component, including calculus.

Course modules

Compulsory modules: introduction to energy technologies; environment and sustainability; climate change; energy and settlements; geographic information systems; energy resources and engineering; bioenergy; waste resource management. Core modules: MSc research project. Optional modules: climate design of buildings and cities; energy performance assessment of buildings.
