Transnational Studies

This course analyses the historical, social, cultural and linguistic effects of the traffic across national boundaries, including capital, people, and ideas, focusing primarily on Spanish-, French-, German- and Portuguese-speaking areas (the Americas and Europe).

Entry requirements

1st or upper 2nd Class Honours degree or equivalent in English, Linguistics, Modern Languages or another relevant discipline.English Language requirements: IELTS 6.5, or equivalent in other approved English language test.

Course modules

Cultural flows; language, discourse and identity; memory in national and transnational contexts; transnational movement in the age of globalisation; research skills.
