Electronics and Computer Science

This course is specially designed for international candidates, offering a specialist taught Master's course followed by progression to a PhD course. The course aims to provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills for a career as a researcher and teacher, or in public or private research organisations. Research topics are grouped into the following areas: communications; dependable systems and software engineering; electrical power engineering; electronic systems design; information: signals, images, systems (ISIS); intelligence, agents, multimedia (IAM); learning societies lab; nanoscale systems integration; optoelectronics research centre (ORC); pervasive systems centre; science and engineering of natural systems (SENSe).

Entry requirements

Upper 2nd Class Honours degree or equivalent. Students whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.0 or equivalent (with a minimum 5.5 in each component).
