Photonics is changing the world in extraordinary ways: from powering the internet, navigating airliners, correcting vision and protecting the environment, photonics is at the heart of many of our world�s most exciting technologies. It is a technology of the future. You can study an individual project within one of our 30 research groups covering areas from optical fibres to nanophotonics and metamaterials.

Entry requirements

Upper 2nd Class Honours degree or equivalent in a related discipline (e.g. physics, mathematics, engineering, electronics, chemistry, biology); international students must achieve a satisfactory score in a recognised English language test.
