Primary Education

Primary education courses are available in general primary and in primary with French specialism. Students are trained to teach children aged 5 to 11 years and to become an informed, reflective and enquiring professional. Students learn how to plan, teach and assess across the primary curriculum and how to manage and organise a classroom.

Entry requirements

A 2.1 degree awarded by a British University or by the CNAA or an equivalent qualification; mature students with relevant previous classroom experience but a lower degree class are considered; GCSE passes (grades A-C) or the equivalent in English language and mathematics; Enhanced Disclosure Criminal Record Bureau; medical assessment.
