This degree offers students the opportunity to acquire advanced knowledge of contexts that have shaped literature and culture in the French-speaking lands from the Renaissance to the present day. It draws on the expertise of researchers in the Department of French, and concentrates on the research-led study of major conflicts and continuities in the cultural, literary or intellectual history of the French-speaking lands.
