Middle Eastern Literary and Cultural Studies
This degree offers students an opportunity to deepen their knowledge of classical and modern Arabic and Persian literatures and cultures, as a prelude to professional work in the arts and culture of the area or a sound basis for progression to PhD study.
A good degree with Honours in a relevant discipline of the arts and humanities from a UK university or its equivalent. Persian or Arabic language proficiency at C1 level on the European Framework or equivalent. English language proficiency with a minimum of 7.0 in IELTS or equivalent.
MLitt: 9 months ongoing coursework and a supervised dissertation of 15,000 words. MPhil: 9 months of ongoing coursework and a supervised thesis of 40,000 words.
