Moral, Political and Legal Philosophy

The standard route into SASP is via 1 of our 5 MLitt programmes, which all consist of 2 semesters of coursework and a summer dissertation. Satisfactory performance in the MLitt can lead to the PhD or MPhil.

Entry requirements

A good Honours degree in philosophy or cognate discipline.

Assessment methods

MLitt assessment: 9 months of ongoing coursework and a supervised 15,000-word dissertation. MPhil: 9 months of coursework followed by a supervised 40,000-word thesis.
