Mathematics

The programme is aimed at students with a strong background in pure mathematics, applied mathematics or a closely related subject, typically with the intention of either preparing the student for further postgraduate studies, or providing the student with the necessary qualifications and skills for a future career in the private sector.

Entry requirements

An undergraduate 2.1 Honours degree, or equivalent, with a significant mathematical element. All applicants whose 1st language is not English require evidence of competence in written and spoken English.

Course modules

This programme permits a wide range of advanced module choices across the School of Mathematics and Statistics.

Assessment methods

9 months of ongoing coursework followed by a supervised project and dissertation of 15,000 words.
