Astrophysics

The course material covers both theoretical and observational astrophysics and helps develop the research skills that students need to carry out research programmes in astrophysics. The taught modules include topics on observational astronomy, stars and gaseous nebulae, galaxies and cosmology, gravitational dynamics and accretion physics, astrophysical fluids, magnetofluids, radiation transfer, advanced data analysis and topics in contemporary astrophysics.
