University of St Mark & St John
Professional Studies (Sport and Health Sciences)
As part of the course, students are afforded the opportunity to reflect on and engage in debate about the issues and developments within their professional context. This responsive approach to professional development encourages students to explore issues as they emerge. The course is flexible by its nature, but it lies within a solid framework. Your supervised projects will focus on areas which are relevant to you, and each has its own qualification outcome. At each stage, you will work within a carefully constructed template which provides clear guidance on structure, content and the research process.
It is generally anticipated that applicants will be 21 years of age or over, will be graduates and will already be engaged in work within the profession.
Year 1: Conceptual and theoretical discourses. Year 2: Contemporary contextual issues. Year 3: Developmental considerations.
