Public Policy

This course provides an advanced qualification in research and policy analysis. It allows you to develop the conceptual, analytical and practical skills required to flourish in the policymaking world, preparing you for a career in the public sector and vocations that make a contribution to the development or delivery of public policy.

Entry requirements

A minimum of a 2nd Class Honours degree (2.1 preferred) or equivalent.  Applicants without these formal qualifications but with significant appropriate/relevant work/life experience are encouraged to apply. IELTS 6.5 (6.0 in all bands)

Course modules

How does the policy process work; policymaking: theories and approaches; research design and process; quantitative data analysis; qualitative data analysis autumn; the nature of social enquiry.

Assessment methods

Assessment is based on coursework.
