Performance Coaching

This course is for experienced performance coaches who wish to extend their expertise adjacent to their sport- specific qualifications. The course has been developed to articulate with the emerging UKCC Level 4 certification process. It will develop skills of critical analysis and reflective practice, enhance problem-solving capacity and promote innovative solutions to performance coaching problems.

Entry requirements

A minimum of a 2nd Class Honours degree (2.1 preferred) or equivalent. Applicants without these formal qualifications but with significant appropriate/relevant work/life experience are encouraged to apply.

Course modules

Pedagogy and practice; performance analysis; coaching ethics; planning the coaching process; applied coaching project; coaching concepts; the coaching process; coaching as learning; independent study.

Assessment methods

Assessment is based on a major project.
