Safety and Risk Management
This programme is designed for people who already have a suitable combination of academic ability, subject knowledge and work experience in the general area of occupational health and safety. Course participants will be aiming to develop their knowledge and expertise in this increasingly important interdisciplinary profession, and to become more competent practitioners through active membership of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).
Modules: Research project; corporate risk management; psychology of workplace activities; ergonomic factors in work activities; methods of professional enquiry; benchmarking safety and risk management; assessing hazards, risks and dangers, optimising safety and risk management activities.
Assessment is based on continuous assessment - there are no written examinations.
