Global Innovation Management
This course is offered jointly by the University of Strathclyde (Scotland), Aalborg University (Denmark) and Hamburg University of Technology (Germany), which enables graduates of first degrees in engineering, science and technology to successfully manage the innovation process across international boundaries.
Compulsory modules: Industrial group project; global design; strategic technology management; supply chain operations; management of innovation; design management. Optional modules: People, organisation and technology; design methods; mechatronic systems design techniques; strategic supply chain management; enterprise resource planning knowledge engineering and management for engineers; engineering risk management; management of total quality and continuous improvements; fundamentals of lean six sigma; sustainable product design and manufacturing; product costing and financial management; systems thinking and modelling; information management.
In the final semester all students undertake a thesis project, supervised jointly between the 2nd-year host institution and another partner institution.
