Supply Chain and Procurement Management

Supply chain management encompasses everything, from initial design, through to procurement of material and services, processing and delivery to the customer; on completion of the course, participants are equipped with concepts, methods, techniques and tools to allow them to contribute towards the competitiveness of industrial and commercial organisations worldwide.

Course modules

Compulsory modules: Strategic supply chain management; supply chain operations; enterprise resource planning; postgraduate individual project; management of total quality and continuous improvement; product costing and financial management; advanced project management; business operational and supply chain strategy; case studies in supply chain management. Specialism: Organisational buying behaviour; strategic procurement management. Elective modules: People, organisation and technology; strategic technology management; systems thinking and modelling; quantitative business analysis; spreadsheet modelling and demand forecasting; business simulation methods; risk analysis and management.

Assessment methods

Assessment is by assignments, individual and group projects, presentations and examinations. For the Master project, you'll have the opportunity to select a thesis topic.
