Inclusive Education

This course focuses on the broad areas of: additional support needs; inclusive pedagogy; collaborative practice. It will provide you with an opportunity to learn about the background, policies and procedures and pedagogy related to inclusive education. This course is designed to provide outstanding opportunities for teachers to develop their professional knowledge and practice in-line with the most current developments in research, practice, policy and legislation.

Course modules

Compulsory modules: Understanding inclusive education; providing effective educational support; working together in education setting; research methods and reasoning. Elective modules: Inclusive pedagogy; supporting numeracy; supporting literacy; health and wellbeing; understanding social, emotional and behavioural needs; responding to social, emotional and behavioural needs; supporting positive futures and transitions; attachment and nurture; dissertation.

Assessment methods

Each class is assessed by written assignment. These are usually practice-based.
