Advanced Pharmacology

This course will provide you with a comprehensive three-part postgraduate life sciences training.

Entry requirements

Minimum second-class degree or equivalent overseas qualification.

Course modules

Compulsory modules: Generic skills for biomedical and pharmaceutical students; entrepreneurship; postgraduate studies in pharmacology; advanced techniques in biomedical research 1 and 2; advanced topics in biomedical research 1 and 2; advanced topics in biomedical research; research project. Elective modules: In vivo biology; drug discovery; postgraduate studies in clinical pharmacology; postgraduate studies in applied pharmacology.

Assessment methods

Assessment of taught classes is through the following: multiple choice tests; computer quizzes; problem solving scenarios; poster and oral presentations; essays; formal written exams. The laboratory project is assessed through a written thesis.
