All pathways lie within our Doctoral Programme, which is aligned to the key research areas of our two broad-based research Institutes: Institute for energy and environment; institute for sensors, signals and communications.
Doctor of Philosophy - PhD: You'll need a first or 2:1 UK Honours degree, or overseas equivalent, in a relevant engineering, physical sciences or technology based discipline from a recognised academic institution. If English isn't your first language, you'll also need to have a recent UKVI recognised Secure English Language Test (SELT) qualification.
We offer this programme in two research areas: Optics and photonics technologies; non-destructive evaluation.
