This course is suitable for those who wish to develop research skills in a particular engineering domain of study, are curious about the nature and challenges of research, or who wish to undertake a fundamental or applied research-based Master's degree.

Entry requirements

Good 1st degree in a relevant subject.

Course modules

Research protocols for science and engineering; research training module; engineering risk management or project management.

Assessment methods

Students take part in a supervised research project on a topic selected in consultation with course leaders. This individual research project, theoretical and/or application oriented, may be work-based or allied to one of the many areas of research strengths within the Faculty.
