Supervision is available for research in the following areas: social history of religion and popular culture; Elizabethan England; medicine, drugs, Colonial India; black civil rights campaigns in the US; Weimar Republic, National Socialism, 20th-century Germany; employers; organisations, labour and occupational health in British history; social, political and intellectual history of modern Scotland; Scottish Parliament in the 17th century; Scottish Nationalism since 1914; 18th-19th century Russia; Chartism and gender; history and politics of 20th-century Middle East; Italian fascism; British foreign and domestic politics in the 19th century; specialised research training courses are available in other relevant areas.
