Mobile Computing

Computer science underpins the construction, development and deployment of computer systems. This degree course aims to help students meet the challenges in designing software systems for mobile platforms. Students gain new skills in constructing mobile applications, including security and usability considerations, and have the opportunity to meet industry employers and participate in recruitment events.

Entry requirements

All students are admitted as prospective MChem Honours students.
The entry requirements differ depending on the course and are largely a reflection of whether the course carries single or dual professional accreditation. The grades specified should be understood as minimum entry requirements that may be raised at times of exceptional demand. If it is necessary to do this, the higher standard will be applied fairly to the complete applicant field in any given year.

Course modules

Modules: computer security; designing usable systems; distributed information systems; embedded systems; mobile software and applications; personal study; research methods.
