Research interests include: condensed matter physics; optical physics; photonics and laser spectroscopy; femtosecond research centre; applied optics; atomic, molecular and plasma physics; atomic, molecular, discharge and plasma physics; relativistic electrons, lasers and discharge physics.

Entry requirements

Doctor of Philosophy - PhD: You'll need one of the following: A Masters or an Integrated Masters Degree in physics; a first or 2:1 UK Honours degree, or overseas equivalent, from a recognised educational establishment in physics; an IELTS score of 6.5 as proof of English proficiency, if English isn't your first language.

EngD: This degree is specific to: Photonics; applied photonics; optics and photonics technologies. Doctor of Philosophy - PhD: Research groups: Nanoscience; optics; plasmas; institute of photonics.
