This course reflects the increasingly technologically innovative nature of contemporary marketing practice in both private and public sectors of world economies.
Degree in business or marketing or other qualification equivalent to a 1st or 2nd Class Honours degree of a British university; a limited number of places may be available to applicants who can demonstrate that their past work experience warrants direct entry to this programme.
Semester 1: students study 5 core classes: cultural issues in international marketing; international marketing strategy; financial analysis and decision-making in international marketing; international marketing research; e-business and international marketing; semester 2: students study 5 elective classes from e.g.: advanced strategic marketing; global marketing; export marketing; international technology management; international channel management; international communications management; international business management; area studies; international business ethics; managing multinational subsidiary; public policy; e-commerce and international marketing; Japanese language and culture is also offered on non-examinable basis; students also carry out international marketing project, working in groups; plus dissertation for MSc; online programme: stage 1: 2 core subjects: international marketing strategy, international marketing project; stage 2: 2 further core classes and 3 elective classes.
