Tourism and Hospitality
This course is designed to give you a head start in the tourism and hospitality sectors, which are part of one of the world's largest industries. Our programme brings together a rigorous social science approach with the development of skills that are needed by, for example, restaurant entrepreneurs, resort coordinators and hotel managers. We welcome applications from graduates of any discipline.
To apply for this programme a 2.2 Honours degree is required. Students whose 1st language is not English will need to provide evidence of proficiency in the English language.
Core modules include: Tourism concepts and issues; critical theories and methods for tourism, hospitality and events; hospitality management studies; tourism and hospitality major project; optional module: current practices in tourism, hospitality and events.
Assessment methods include essays, exams, presentations, portfolios of evidence and a dissertation.
