The 1st year of the programme offers 3 taught modules. These modules help to prepare students for working and thinking at doctoral level and support them in developing academic writing skills. From the 2nd year students will be working independently on their chosen research topic with support from their academic supervisors.

Entry requirements

The normal entry requirement for a research degree is a UK Honours degree (1st or upper 2nd class) or a UK Masters degree or an equivalent qualification.

Course modules

Modules: Reflective practice; research methodology; contextualisation and planning.

Assessment methods

The final submission s a report (which will usually be between 20,000 and 30,000 words), together with a portfolio of supporting evidence.
