Media Production (Film and Television)
The course develops advanced skills related to design; development; and delivery of media product in commercial market place. Study covers areas of production including legal; media business; 360 commissioning; media management and marketing; advanced imaging and editing techniques.
An Honours degree in relevant subject; candidates with appropriate experience but without formal academic qualifications in a relevant subject are welcome but may need to complete the University's bridging programme; interview; must demonstrate practical skill; overseas students must also satisfy standard English language proficiency requirements.
Modules include: Stage 1: craft skills; deconstruction and reconstruction of advertisements and music videos. Stage 2: production management; mini practical project; video for new media. Stage 3: practical media project.
Assessment methods include practical work with supporting reports that place the work in its academic context.
