During the course students develop the core skills of magazine journalism, such as writing, researching, interviews and copy editing for magazines features for print and online.
2.1 Honours degree or above; candidates with a 2.2 may also be considered along with significant practical work experience; interview.
Modules include: Stage 1: magazine journalism: principles and practice 1; managing magazines; essential media law and public affairs; shorthand. Stage 2: magazine journalism: principles and practice 2; media and society; media ethics and regulation; shorthand. Stage 3: dissertation or journalism practical project.
Assessment is based on a dissertation or practical project.
