Tourism and Events

The programme focuses on tourism and events planning; monitoring and evaluation; drawing upon the inter-relations between tourism and arts; sports; cultural and business events.

Entry requirements

An Honours degree; or equivalent experience.

Course modules

Modules include: Stage 1: international tourism development; events management studies. Stage 2: critical tourism theory and methods, and 1 of: events work-based learning module; cultural tourism fieldwork or independent study. Stage 3: tourism and events major project.

Assessment methods

Assessment methods include essays, project reports, portfolios, presentations and an examination.
