A 2nd Class Honours degree or equivalent. The course also expects students to have experience of working at educational institutions, following their graduation. A recognised teaching qualification is desirable but not essential.
Core module: Research methods in education; modules may include: development of learning (a case study); negotiated individual study in education; advanced pedagogical practice; leading organisational effectiveness in education and training; assessment theory into pedagogical practice; approaches to teaching and learning for learners with special or additional needs; barriers to learning; inclusive education.
Assessment methods include written assignments, oral and written presentations and the Master's dissertation of 20,000 words.
