International Marketing Management

This programme will provide you with a comprehensive framework for understanding theories, concepts, issues and applications of marketing in an international and global context. The programme will develop your appreciation of strategies and tactics for international markets, along with their implications, as well as building your understanding of marketing management for multinational and global organisations; it covers a wide range of modules and topics in international business and marketing, as well as modules that develop your skills in business research and analysis. We also offer a range of optional modules that allow you tailor the programme according to your own interests or career aspirations.

Entry requirements

Applicants should normally hold a Bachelors degree (a good 2.2) or equivalent qualification from a recognised British or overseas university in a related subject (including accountancy, business administration, economics, engineering, finance, management, mathematics, physics or science). If an applicant�s Bachelors degree is not in a subject related to the course, some relevant work experience would be an advantage. Higher level professional qualifications may also be accepted. Each applicant is assessed on their own merit. Students whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.5 or equivalent (with a minimum 6.0 in each component).

Course modules

Compulsory modules: Research methods; marketing; international business management; international marketing management; accounting and finance for business; international marketing investigation; marketing communications. Elective modules: Consumer behaviour; e-business; international retailing; strategy; digital marketing and social media; international trade; introduction to marketing analytics.

Sponsorship information

The University of Surrey is pleased to announce the Chancellor's International Scholarship for taught postgraduate Surrey Business School students in the 2015/16 academic year. The award is worth �2000 in the form of a fee waiver for self-funded students from India, Nigeria, Pakistan, Thailand and Vietnam achieving the equivalent of a UK 2.1. A further �1000 will be awarded to exceptional students.
