Health Care Management and Policy

Students undertake a tailored programme of formal research training in methods and methodology; in their 1st year students take up to 3 modules of core research methods training; students are also expected to take advantage of advanced research training modules that further support their specific research; these include a range of modules focused on developing the practical skills required for subsequent careers; students also organise and run their own annual research conference.

Entry requirements

Applicants should hold a Master's degree at a minimum of a merit level in business, management or a relevant discipline from an approved university. If you do not hold such a degree, you may be admitted providing you hold an upper 2nd (2.1) Bachelors degree from an approved university or a professional or other qualification deemed to be appropriate. Students whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 7.0 or equivalent (with a minimum 6.5 in each component).

Assessment methods

Assessment methods include a thesis; students are expected to answer questions on their thesis and their research in a viva voce examination and produce research of a publishable standard.
