Occupational and Organisational Psychology
A 1st or 2.1 Honours degree (or recognised equivalent qualification) in psychology, paired with an interest, understanding and / or experience of work, organisational, and business issues as evident from the application form. Following this screening process, suitable applicants are invited to an interview, either face-to-face or via Skype. Students wishing to go on to the stage 2 qualification in occupational psychology after the programme will require eligibility for graduate basis for chartered membership (GBC) with the British psychological society (BPS). Applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS minimum overall: 6.5, IELTS minimum by component: 6.0.
Modules include: Psychological assessment in the workplace; performance, engagement and well-being; organizational behaviour; research methods; the psychology of leadership and decision making; human resource development; advanced research methods for applied psychology.
Assessment requires students to present a dissertation comprising an original piece of empirical research within an area of work and organisational psychology. This will be approved and supervised by a member of faculty.
