Information Systems

**Why choose this course** In the last three decades, the way we collect, organise, store and communicate information has transformed in ways we couldn't have imagined. Our forward-thinking course addresses the most recent advances in IT, the internet, web technologies and business applications. You will explore how information systems can increase productivity, improve decision-making and lead to a significant competitive advantage. **What you will study** If you have studied computer science before, this course will expand your knowledge and help you acquire further skills across a broader range of computer science topics. If you don't have a first degree in computer science, this course will still fully prepare you for a successful and rewarding career in the IT sector. The modules you'll study will address mobile and cloud computing, big data and database systems, and the importance of information security, in relation to the foundational information systems principles. This course will equip you with professional skills that will allow you to work as an IT consultant or manager, a system architect or analyst, or a software developer in any of the many industries that heavily rely on software and information technology.
