International Commercial Law

This programme focuses on key conceptual and practical issues in commercial law and business transactions. It is developed to provide a commercial context for career progression in national and international law firms or relevant government departments. It combines traditional study of commercial law and cutting-edge aspects of corporate and commercial law with hands-on practical experience. The programme is innovative in that it combines the study of aspects of commercial law with a more contextual and critical appreciation of key current debates in corruption, corporate governance and responsibility, corporate crime, and the study of law and development. Graduates of this programme go on to academic careers, apply their LLM practically as lawyers and solicitors, or take their knowledge of law into international business or consultancy work.
