Electronic Engineering (Euro-Masters)

The main distinguishing feature of our 2 year programme is the professional training component (which cannot normally be offered by the standard technically-focused 1 year MSc), allowing students to gain valuable experience from working in industry. Our programme is suitable for electronic engineering students, or professionals with an interest in gaining further qualifications in advanced techniques and technologies in the selected pathway, with an enhanced project, as well as training in transferable skills such as business awareness and management. The programme mirrors the 2 year Masters programme structure that is common in the USA, and is an ideal stepping stone to a PhD.

Entry requirements

A good Honours degree in mathematics, computing, physical sciences or engineering disciplines is required. Our minimum entry level is a 2.2 from a good UK university or overseas equivalent. Relevant industrial experience will also be considered. IELTS minimum overall: 6.5; IELTS minimum by component: 6.0. The University offers intensive English language pre-sessional courses, designed to take students to the level of English ability and skill required for their studies.

Course modules

Modules include: 90-credit project; engineering professional studies 1; engineering professional studies 1 with industrial placement; engineering professional studies 2.
