Public Service Leadership

Students on this course discover how to improve performance and service delivery, as well as learning new ways to manage teams and budgets effectively. You will also consider ways to work collaboratively with other partners across the public and private sectors to provide better local services. This is a recognised industry qualification in leadership and management; Study includes a collaborative project where you will work in pairs with someone from another organisation and research an issue common to both organisations.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements but you should have experience working in a middle or senior management role within the public sector.

Public service leadership; planning and delivery of public sector projects; Managing change in the delivery of public services; Leading and achieving service performance; planning to meet customer service requirements; managing performance in the delivery of public services; contributing to the financial efficiency in public service; collaborative project where students work with someone from another organisation and research an issue common to both organisations.
