Computer Science and Web Technologies

The course aims to give students the advanced skills and expertise to excel in the international computing and IT industry. This specialist postgraduate course is only available to international students (i.e. students domiciled outside the UK and EU) and aims to equip them with knowledge and understanding of computing, computing science and web technologies.

Entry requirements

A minimum 2.2 honours UK-equivalent computing degree from a recognised university or equivalent awarding institution. Equivalences in education are checked using NARIC through the International Centre. Alternative and equivalent qualifications and experience are considered on an individual basis, overseen by the admissions panel. Students should also have an overall IELTS score of 6.5 or above, with no individual components (listening, reading, writing and speaking) scoring less than 6.

Course modules

It is possible to study individual modules for personal or professional development, or work towards the PgCert, PgDip or full Master's degree
Modules include: PgCert: web programming; mobile technologies; intelligent systems. PgDip: database systems; human computer interaction; web science.

Assessment methods

Practical exercises and projects.
