Music and the Environment
The course focuses on the 3 distinct but interrelated themes of music performance and creation; the cultural and historical context; and the creative economy and sustainability. Activities during the course encourage and demand the skills of observation, investigation, experimentation, reflection, creation, innovation and design.
Relevant Honours degree. Professional musicians, composers, creative entrepreneurs with relevant work experience are welcome to apply and will be considered on an individual basis.
It is possible to study individual modules for personal or professional development, or work towards the PgCert, PgDip or full Masters degree Modules include: PgCert: music and the environment: space, place and people; sustainable creative endeavour in contemporary society. PgDip: music creation and collaboration; research and music production; making music matter.
