Public Service Leadership

This programme is designed to address some of the fundamental issues facing leaders in the public sector, like yourselves, through a structured programme of learning. It is designed to enhance your knowledge and skills, and support the development and application of more effective personal leadership approaches. It will seek to challenge ideas and pre-conceptions about what leadership means both to yourself and to your work. Indeed, a better understanding of ourselves, and what is going on around us, are both fundamental qualities of effective leadership and management. The programme will look specifically at the challenges facing the public sector and will provide opportunities for you to develop your own capability and innovative approaches to supporting service development and deliver real and sustained change in your workplace. The programme is very practically based to help you develop skills of direct relevance to your current and future role within the public sector. Delivered in a highly flexible manner means your organisation can gain specific and measurable benefits with minimum disruption. You will undertake activities and projects of relevance to your organisation to help ensure that you and the organisation can clearly see the relevance and value.
